Key Responsibilities:

Be very hands-on and work as part of the development team on day-to-day activities and tasks. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills with a passion for ensuring software quality, scalability and performance, and is an experienced senior test engineer with team leadership experience / capability; working with local and remote teams. Key areas of responsibility include:

​

• Creating, developing and implementing test plans and strategies

• Developing and automating tests for software/system validation

• Testing and verifying that software meets major functional, architectural and scalability requirements

• Detecting bugs and software defects 

• Implementing and managing bug tracking system; logging, tracking and reporting on test progress through various cycles of development and testing

 

Required Qualifications:

​

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

• 7+ years of experience in software testing or similar role

• Deep understanding of QA, the uses and methods of software testing

• Excellent testing skills (designing test plans and test strategies, writing test cases, executing test cases, logging bugs, verifying bugs)

• Experience using test management and bug tracking systems, e.g., Zephyr Scale, JIRA

• Experience developing and using automated testing tools, e.g., Selenium

• Proven track record as an effective Team/QA lead

 

Desired Qualifications:

Proven experience in developing/deploying large scale applications using:

​

• Development environments and tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins

• Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment

• Wide knowledge in networking, security, database and cloud systems

• Configuration/container management (Chef, Puppet, Mesos, Kubernetes)

• Experience with caching and CDN (content delivery network) technologies (Netflix, Amazon, Google, Limelight, Akamai, Fastly)

• Data security (TLS/SSL and related ecosystems)
