Key Responsibilities:

​

You will be responsible for the deployment, monitoring and maintenance of our hardware, software and network infrastructure, and for resolving system issues. You need to have deep experience with IT performance management, network administration and architecture, and be passionate about system security and data protection. Ultimately, ensure our systems are secure, consistent and reliable. Specific areas of responsibility include:

• Configure, install and maintain software, servers, routers and other network devices

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN); monitor system performance and integrity, capacity and scalability

• Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls, password protection, etc.)

• Design and implement safety measures and data recovery plans (e.g. access authentication, system redundancy and disaster recovery)

• Inspect/monitor hardware and network activity to identify vulnerable points of access; act on privacy breaches and malware threats

• Develop IT / security policies and practices

 

Required Qualifications:

​

• Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis

• Thorough knowledge of networks and network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN 

• Solid background in network administration and architecture; firewalls, etc.

• In-depth understanding of communication protocols and switching / routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)

• Proven experience with access control models and network security

• Solid experience with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic protocols (e.g. SSL/ TLS)

• Experience with tiered storage solutions; redundancy; cloud computing

• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools 

• Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving skills

• Leadership and organizational skills

• Outstanding communication skills

• Ability to work independently

 

Desired Qualifications:

Proven experience in deploying and managing large scale operations, including:

​

• Knowledge of coding / scripting languages (e.g., C++, PHP, Python, Perl)

• Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR)

• Familiarity with security frameworks and risk management methodologies

• Knowledge of patch management, intrusion detection/prevention systems 

• Cloud technologies (AWS, OpenStack)

• Configuration/container management (Chef, Puppet, Mesos, Kubernetes)

• Experience with caching and CDN (content delivery network) technologies (Netflix, Amazon, Google, Limelight, Akamai, Fastly)

• Experience with securing IoT and/or autonomous remote devices.
